Seattle met an all too familiar opponent in the Los Angelos Rams. A team that regardless of the roster or coaching configuration has given the Seahawks trouble since joining the NFC West. THis weekend was no exception with the Rams coming to Seattle in a game that most people outside of the Rams organization had penciled in as a loss. The lack off pass rush from the Seahawks was a driving force in allowing Stafford to go for 334 yards with most of the completions around 10 yards. Conversely Geno's 112 yards were heavily contested with Aaron Donald making his presence felt in the backfield especially after the Hawks lost both of their starting offensive Tackles in CHarles Cross and Abraham Lucas. The gap between the starters and the second string tackles were no match for the Rams up front. After loosing Witherspoon in the secondary the Seahawks had nothing left in the second half to slow the Rams down getting out scored 23-0 after the break. Starting 0-1 to start the season isn't the end of the world but they head to Detroit to take on a Detroit team that can score a lot of points and although they don't have the Rams defense it is much improved over last season and the Seahawks might be entering that game without either of their Tackles or their new corner in Witherspoon (all Listed as Questionable). Jamal Adams is off the pup list and was a clean scratch for last week as he gets back to game speed and is also questionable for this game based on his progress in practice this week but he may be able to provide a spark that seemed to be missing in this defense on Sunday. With the lack of protection Geno had in the Second half beating the Lions might be a tall order if neither Cross or Lucas are able to make it back. The Hawks did sign Guard Greg Eiland on Monday and Offensive Tackle Jason Peters on Tuesday both to the Practice Squad we could see get activated before the game on Sunday. After week 1 we do have more questions than answers with this Seahawks team but one thing we do know is that both the offensive and defensive lines may still be a major concern despite the off season moves to shore up both position groups
